Meet Mr. McEwen and Mrs. Cook
Mr. McEwen
Mr. McEwen was born in upstate New York near the Canadian border. The closest "big" city was the village of Lake Placid, NY, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. He got the travel bug when his French teacher in high school offered to take the whole class (there were only 5 students) to France for 10 days. At age 16, he experienced what it was like to experience a totally different culture.
Mr. McEwen has been teaching 6th and 7th grade social studies at Robious Middle CBG since 2007. Prior to that, he taught math at Manchester Middle CBG.

Mrs. Cook
Mrs. Cook was born in Richmond, Virginia and has lived here all of her life. She got her start in Henrico County, and eventually moved to Chesterfield when she married her husband. Mrs. Cook got the travel bug on her first trip abroad when she went to Italy. In Pisa, she was transformed listening to a person sing notes in the Bapistry. She harmonized with herself! When her voice bounced back in an echo from the high ceiling, she then sang another note that harmonized with the first note. From that day on, Mrs. Cook has appreciated the new adventures in life that travel can bring.
